Barbara Joe-Williams is a long-term resident of Tallahassee, Florida. However, she was born and raised
in Rosston, Arkansas, where she graduated from Oak Grove High School. She spent four years in the U.S. Navy prior to attending
college. She holds an A.A. degree in Office Education from Tallahassee Community College. She has a B.S. degree in Business
Education and a M.Ed. in Counseling Education from Florida A&M University. She is currently a freelance writer, an independent
publisher (Amani Publishing, LLC), and an active member of the Tallahassee Writer's Association. Barbara spends her spare
time traveling as a motivational speaker or conducting seminars and workshops on writing, publishing, and marketing. When
she's not publishing books for other aspiring authors, she's working on projects for herself. She's been published
in two anthologies, How I Met My Sweetheart (2007) and Memories of Mother (2007). In addition, Barbara has
authored the following books: Courtney's Collage with Sherille Fisher (2007); A Writer's Guide to Self-Publishing
& Marketing (2007); Falling for Lies (2006); Dancing with Temptation (2005); and Forgive Us
This Day (2004). Recently, Barbara signed with a reputable agent, and she won't be self-publishing any additional
books. However, she's still writing and helping other writers to publish their work.
Barbara enjoys life with
her husband, Wilbert, their daughter, Amani Nigia Williams, and their dog, Cali. Her motto: "It's never
too late to follow your dreams."
